RisuCon is pleased to announce that our event will be held in the fabulous Montgomery County Conference Center, part of the North Bethesda Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Rockville, Maryland. With over 25,000 square feet at our disposal, RisuCon will be jam-packed with exciting things to do all weekend.
RisuCon will be offering FREE parking both days of the convention in the adjacent parking garage. Park your car and walk right in to RisuCon!
RisuCon 2024 is located RIGHT NEXT to the North Bethesda Metro station on the Red Line. Exit the Metro, take the convenient tunnel to the west side of Rockville Pike, and walk 100 feet to the hotel.
Besides running the cosplay contests and parade at RisuCon, Superhero Support Causeplayers will be hanging out at the event and in their own space outside the amphitheater. Drop by for some awesome superhero photos!
Food choices: The hotel has a lovely restaurant right off their main lobby that will be open all hours of the convention. There is a McDonald's across the street from the hotel main lobby entrance. If you walk out to the main road, Rockville Pike, and turn left, there is a series of small restaurants including smoothies, pho, kabobs, chicken, pizza and a deli. A short two blocks away is Pike & Rose, and although it has plenty of upscale ($$$) food choices, the &Pizza ($) there is offering a 10% discount to all RisuCon attendees. There will be several food trucks across the street from the convention main entrance including: Pop-Up Poutine; Rice of the World; and Black Horse Kettle Corn. The hotel does not allow outside food and drink to be brought in to the convention space. You can order delivery or bring outside food in to your hotel room.
The hotel and event space is 100% ADA accessible. The metro tunnel is not, you'll have to cross the street in the crosswalk. There are no level changes, slopes, weird bumps, or ramps in our event space. The parking garage and event space has elevators.
